This would likely build upon the already submitted request for multiple contacts to the contacts field. I often find it's best to have all discussions and decisions made with all parties, even if there is just one decision maker. This can ensure the husband knows to not have the truck on the driveway Monday morning, or that the accent wall is gonna be green. Instead of hoping or tasking the main point of contact to relay that information. Further, being able to bring in (or assign) a third party (project manager, salesman, me, color consultant) to an existing chat feed would be valuable to clear up miscommunications and provide a seamless experience towards the customer.
