We're actively researching crew name visibility in Google Calendar for V1, and we want to be upfront about what's possible.
The good news: we're working toward showing the crew name directly in the event title when a job is synced to Google Calendar, so at a glance you'd see something like "Smith Residence – Johnson Crew" right on your calendar.
A couple of limitations to be aware of as we work through this:
First, in V1, if a crew is reassigned to a job after it's already been synced to Google Calendar, the event title may not automatically update to reflect that change. We know that's not ideal, and it's something we're looking to improve down the road, but we wanted to be upfront about it.
Second, crew color syncing won't be a perfect match. Google Calendar only allows 11 preset colors for calendar events and they can't be customized beyond that list. So while we can do our best to match each crew's color to the closest option available, it won't be exact and in some cases two crews could end up sharing the same color on the Google Calendar side, even if they look different inside DripJobs.
We'd rather be honest about these things upfront than ship something that doesn't meet expectations. We'll keep this thread updated as we move forward.
