In my service company the materials are usually less than the labor price. If this happens to be shown in the estimate i find myself defending our price instead of making a sale. With the apps I have tried, I've had better luck when Just show a simple price. Making sure I'm charging for all the right things is important though. So having a grouped item or flat rate item is key.
For example
instead of,
Materials.........$100
Labor.........$100
it's just
Service........$200
But on the back end we would be able to see what makes up that $200 price confirming we accounted for everything.
That can lead to premade service templates in dripjobs, speeding up the estimating process.
