Produced Work vs Invoiced Work

When looking at the metric page, the “Sales” number is based on income. Be that change order excepted on an active project, someone paying a bill or selling a job.
I would like to have a dashboard to know what was the produced income in a given time period for our production teams to ensure they are hitting their weekly KPI’s and on track for their weekly/monthly goals. Also another number that shows actual sales for the time period - this should have nothing to do with income per se’ as its not produced work. Very hard to differentiate the 2 variances without using another software/spreadsheet.

100% agree as well. The Metrics terminology is incorrect and confusing. The metric numbers when compared to the jobs pipeline do not match, which made us think the whole system is wrong and can’t be trusted.

It took multiple phone calls with customer service to have someone figure out the inconsistency and explain to us that we have to manually track numbers instead — I thought this is what we’re paying for.

I 100% agree - this is something that I have been trying to get fixed with Drip Jobs when I realized that the numbers were inaccurate. What they call Sales is actually invoiced revenue. Terminology is incorrect and very confusing for companies for companies who have sales goals. I have been tracking our sales manually to be able to provide correct numbers to our sales team so they know if they are hitting their goals.

Agreed - we need more accurate metrics and the ability to export data or customize the cuts we need. Too much information is stored in DripJobs that we can’t get out of DripJobs…

This is exactly what we are needing, and would be a game changer for our team. Hope this change happens soon, this is a feature we need in order to keep using Drip as our company grows. Also to be able to easily export this once we have filtered by date.

Thanks for this feedback! You've articulated the difference between produced work and actual sales really well, and it's a distinction that matters for running a production team effectively.

This is on our radar. Separating those two numbers in a meaningful way requires some thoughtful design work to get right, and we want to make sure we build it properly rather than bolt something on. Our current thinking is that this type of production-focused reporting would be best suited for DripJobs V2, where we're rebuilding the reporting layer from the ground up with more flexibility.

We appreciate you taking the time to share this. It helps us prioritize what goes into V2.
    Stay tuned!
